Dear Nashville,

Dear Nashville,

I didn’t move in with you to prove myself. I moved in to learn, grow, flourish, and develop into a stronger songwriter. As 2018 comes to a close I want to thank you. Thank you for creating in me a stronger belief that I indeed can do this. It won’t be easy. I will never be the best singer, guitar player, or songwriter. But there is one thing you can count on. I will always be the hardest worker in the room. God has blessed my life with so many amazing opportunities. I will not let this time go to waste. I will look for new opportunities to grow and learn. I will develop lasting working relationships because earning respect and having character will get you further than any lyrics ever could. I will network to help others when I am able, instead of going into it selfishly thinking what they can do for me. I’d like to thank all the songwriters I’ve been blessed to write with this year. Thank you for your patience, kindness and laughs! Here’s to more friendships, songs, and coffee. And finally Nashville… I wouldn’t be here without my support system, so i’d like to thank my family for believing in me. I love them with everything I have in me. Here’s to continued learning and growth in 2019!
